My smoothie basic
Method
1. Get soft fruit combo. Wash it. (Use frozen fruit if you can't get fresh.)
2. Peel a banana. Break into bits with fingers. Chuck into tall plastic jug.
3. Drop in fruit combo.
4. Drizzle a bit of honey in there.
5. Stick milk in to cover fruit. Sub in a bit of plain yogurt if you like.
6. Blitz and froth. Drink it.
My breakfast boost
Banana, raspberry & blueberry
I get one of these down me
most days. Makes a great
emergency breakfast with a
flapjack. Chuck bits of banana,
load of blueberries and
raspberries into jug. Tip in half a
pint of milk, drizzle honey. Blitz it.
Blackberry
Banana, blackberry & raspberry
Brilliant taste - brilliant colour.
Sister's favourite. Chuck bits of
banana, 3-4 blackberries,
handful of raspberries
(or strawberries) into jug. Add
half a pint of milk, drizzle honey.
Blitz it.
Exotic banana
Banana, mango and raspberry
Special. My mate Tom's dad
sells dried mangoes fairtrade-style. His top smoothie. Chuck
bits of banana, chopped
peeled fresh mango, load of
raspberries into jug. Tip in half a
pint of milk, drizzle honey. Blitz it.
Strawberry lite
Banana & strawberry
Cool, light and frothy. The
smoothest smoothie? Chuck
bits of banana, good load of
strawberries (chopped if huge) into jug. Tip
in half a pint of milk, drizzle honey. Blitz it.
Orange boost
Banana & orange
Subtle - nice light taste. Usually got this
stuff hanging about in the fruit bowl.
Chuck bits of banana, juice of freshly
squeezed orange into a jug. Tip in half a
pint of milk - sub in a bit of vanilla yogurt if
you like. Drizzle honey. Blitz it.
Tropic
Banana, pineapple & orange
Bit like tutti-frutti ice-cream. Use fresh
pineapple if you can, but if you'd rather
take it in to model it for art... Chuck bits
of 1 banana, chunks or chopped rings
from small tin pineapple, bit of fresh orange
into jug. Tip in half a pint of milk - sub a bit
of yogurt if you like. Drizzle honey. Blitz it.
