about me
I was raised in good old Yorkshire with three fantastic sisters and one brilliant brother - until they went to uni. One of my first memories is of my mum and I making her famous treacle bread and opening the oven to see it. The smell was great. I learned everything I know from my mum. Apart from cooking I love music, food, hanging out with my mates and sport. I am willing to try everything when it comes to food. My dream is to trek to the North Pole.

I was fourteen when my first book, Cooking Up A Storm, was published. I wrote it for the kids like me who enjoy cooking or who are keen to learn to cook. It's full of simple tasty recipes, the sort of things that my mates and I like to eat.

I followed that with Real Food, Real Fast, which is all about time and how to fit great cooking and real eating into your speedy lifestyle (we're talking 5 to 30 minutes).

My third book Get Cooking features a bunch of recipes inspired by my mates' favourite foods (and mine - chocolate!).

The next book was Sam Stern's Student Cookbook in which I show that food is fantastic fun to create - even on a budget. It’s perfect for college starters, gap-year travellers and first-jobbers alike.

My latest book is Eat Vegetarian, which is a collection of my favourite vegetarian recipes all mixed up with some tasty new ones.
